Szécsény has two larger industrial employers, several construction companies, a furniture manufacturer, a packaging machine manufacturer and one fruit juice production plant, and Hungarian-owned international coffee company has already been established.

Culture

There are several significant cultural treasures in the town, including two national monuments, the Franciscan Church and Monastery and Kubinyi Ferenc Museum with a 10 hectares large castle garden. There are several sights to see, like the fire tower, the ruins of the Szécsény castle, the Dungeon bastion and an enclosed settlement, Benczúrfalva, where the tomb of Benzcúr Gyula is located, and his former mansion that is to be restored.
