The local workforce according to the employers operating in the region:

Nógrád county has a significant labor supply due to the higher than average proportion of job seekers and people commuting to Heves and Pest county to work.

The locals are eager to work locally if there is a possibility for that. Besides that there is a possibility to attract the Hungarian-speaking population living near the Slovakian border. The labor cost is the third lowest in the country (based on the KSH figures of 31. December, 2019), that is a significant cost advantage for employees.
